Beaches out of season

Beaches out of season

Most visitors know Halland in July. The coast is at its most honest between September and April, when the kiosks are shut and the beaches belong to dog walkers and kite surfers.

  • Long sandy beaches from Skrea to Apelviken
  • Dune paths and wooden walkways
  • Rocky points where the sand gives out

Weather as the main subject

On this coast the weather changes faster than the landscape does. Most of the notes here are really about wind direction, cloud cover and how early it gets dark.

  • Westerlies off the Kattegat
  • Sea fog in spring and autumn
  • Short winter days and long blue hours
